We are fortunate to have a large car park with ample parking on most occasions for all our members and other customers using our facilities. There are a number of matters however that require your attention.
Entry into the Club is off the busy Memorial Avenue; members are urged to take extreme care to check for oncoming traffic if they are turning right to enter. The speed limit once you enter our gates is 10kph - please do not exceed this. The gates to the car park automatically open at 7.00 a.m. and close at 7.00 p.m. There are a number of reserved parks in the car park, which are for the benefit of members who have made generous donations for the use of these spaces, please respect those members’ rights. When exiting the car park, if the gate is closed an automatic sensor under the cobblestones prior to the gate will activate and the gate will open allowing you to leave. There is a STOP sign at the gate exit, please take care and give way to traffic entering or leaving the Russley Mews housing estate. Once outside the gate you are on a public road and all the normal road rules apply. Care is again required when turning left onto Memorial Avenue as the traffic along this road is heavy and travels quickly, it is important to note that you are not allowed to turn right onto Memorial Avenue, if you wish to do this it must be done further down opposite the Commodore Hotel. |
