The subscription that is paid by members of the Club covers a number of things that new members should be aware of, these are as follows:
- the cost of the benefits that go with being a member
- the levy we have to pay on behalf of each member to NZ Golf
- likewise on behalf of each member we pay a levy to the local golf association, Canterbury Golf
- the levy imposed for the Mutual Assistance Plan. This is an insurance policy that covers members loss on the golf course e.g. a broken golf club. Please refer to your programme for more detail
- the hole in one levy which is imposed on each member to cover the cost of the "shout" when a member has a hole in one
- finally the GST we have to pay to the Inland Revenue
